We are seeking a passionate and driven Sales and Events Manager to contribute to our continued success.
The Opportunity
As a Sales and Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and managing the successful planning of events. You will be responsible for cultivating strong client relationships, developing creative event concepts, and overseeing the planning and implementation of events from conception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a talented team and make a significant impact in Melbourne’s hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the client base
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, while actively seeking out new business opportunities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and preferences, and propose tailored event solutions
- Lead the planning of events, including venue selection, vendor management, logistics coordination, and on-site supervision
- Ensure the seamless execution of events, delivering exceptional experiences that exceed client expectations
- Manage event budgets, monitor expenses, and maximize profitability
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for innovation and growth
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field or equivalent industry experience
- Proven track record of success in Sales and event management, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Creative thinker with the ability to conceptualize innovative event ideas and solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
