We are looking to fill several Customer Service casual positions during winter at both our Warners Bay and Thornton stores, commencing 2nd week in April. Positions are temporary for our peak season and will finish mid – late August.
The positions will involve 2, 3 or 4 days per week for each new team member on a mostly regular set day roster. All positions will be required to work weekends on a rotating roster, and we also have permanent weekend roster available for new applicants.
The positions involve 1st and foremost outstanding and prompt customer service and sales of sheepskin products. Other duties will include, but not limited to, operating point of sale and eftpos and cash handling, re-stocking shelving and packing, cleaning and other general housekeeping duties.
Key Selection Criteria:
- You must love working with and helping people, be friendly, positive, cheerful, pleasant and helpful even when we have a store full of customers giving you that “look” of impatience,
- You need to be able to stay on your feet all day, have no problems with using a flight of stairs several times a day and your 10,000 steps a day is too easy,
- You must be honest, not a good storyteller or an exaggerator of the truth,
- You must get along with people, have an ability to work and co-operate within a team, and accept instructions from senior staff because they, after all, have the experience and really do want you to be successful,
- You have an alarm clock so you are not only reliable but also punctual - reliability, punctuality and flexibility is expected so if you cannot commit, please don’t apply. Weekday hours are 8.30am – 5pm, and weekends 9am – 2pm. Split shifts are not available with only 1 position in each store available during school hours, all others will be full days only,
- You need to be either proficient in driving a computer with a point-of-sale system, eftpos machines and spreadsheets, or not nervous about driving them because it is a daily thing,
- You need to answer the telephone and talk to our customers so if that's scary this job may not be for you,
- You are a person who takes pride in your work all the time.

First impressions count in a retail store, so first impressions in a speed interview will count towards gaining a formal interview. Interviews will commence the 1st week of April (that’s straight after Easter) so we will only be accepting applications up to and including 1st April.
Remuneration will be based upon the General Retail Industry Modern Award.
