About You
An exceptional opportunity to join our progressive team has arisen due to our continual growth. This role would suit someone with an ability to build strong relationships and help produce the desired outcome for our clients. Working closely with our estimating team, the role involves around preparing tenders for existing clients and targeting new business opportunities in the industrial, commercial and residential building space. Your goal should be to build a career within sales estimating in the building and construction industry.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Previous experience in sales estimation within the building and construction industry is preferred
- Frequent follow-up with clients, negotiating and closing submitted quotes is a must.
- Ensure timely completion of estimates including take offs and BOQ’s
- Prepare tender and cost analysis for review with internal stake holders.
- Provide clients with project estimates and quotes.
- Proactively communicate with subcontractors and material suppliers to fulfill estimates.
- Must be able to read, understand and execute contract administration.
- Use construction estimating software to canvas new business and prepare estimates
- Knowledge of Estimate One, PDF-Xchange, AutoCAD and Aconex highly regarded.
- Liaising with internal departments when required, to secure new business.
- Contribute to sales targets by attending to telephone customers and completing quotations in a timely manner as required.
- Strong work ethic and outstanding communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Analytical and strategic thinker
- Comfortable negotiating and the ability to build excellent rapport with clients
- Monthly reporting to management is required
