Job DescriptionJoin Sofitel Sydney Wentworth's award-winning Sales & Marketing team. As our
Sales Executive (MICE), you will:
- Quote and contract corporate and MICE groups & events ensuring seamless service from the initial enquiry to the handover to the Event Management team.
- Conduct site inspections, attend trade shows and networking events to enhance the Hotel's profile and industry presence.
- Identify new opportunities and leverage existing relationships with corporate clients, agents, PCOs and 3rd party RFP channels to drive new leads for each sector.
- Promote and sell all Hotel services, with particular focus on up-selling and add on sales to heighten the client experience and add revenue for the business.
- Complete internal reporting, follow up and administration.
- Grow your skillset within an experienced, supportive and high-achieving team.
QualificationsWe Are Looking For...- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a drive to close the deal.
- Previous experience in Events, Reservations or Business development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to ‘think on your feet’.
- Creativity to come up with new ideas and drive innovation.
- Experience with Delphi and Opera (highly advantageous, but we are also willing to teach if you have the right attitude).
- Flexibility to work varied days/hours to suit client requirements when required.
