Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is currently seeking a full-time Group Sales Executive to join our hotel-based Reservations team.
About the Role
The role is a unique opportunity representing a dual approach to Group Reservations and Sales. From taking the initial inquiry to contracting and managing group accommodation this role encompasses managing the journey from start to finish.
A rare business hours Monday to Friday role, reporting directly into the Reservations & Yield Manager and working closely alongside our Revenue and Sales Teams to co-ordinate and oversee all aspects of group bookings.
You will provide efficient and professional service to all guests via email and phone, whilst actively promoting our resort, outlets, facilities and promotions.
Skills & experience
- Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
- The ability to multi-task as well as work under pressure
- A team player
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Issuing and contracting group accommodation quotes in line with Hotel procedure
- Ability to cultivate and maintain key relationships with clients, agents and ket stakeholders
- Undertake all group reservation tasks such as actioning release backs, follow up deposit schedules and loading rooming lists
- Fast and accurate data entry with exceptional attention to detail
- Previous experience in a Reservations or Sales role (preferred)
- Experience using Opera PMS (preferred)
- You must possess the legal right to work in Australia as no sponsorships will be offered
