About the role
You'll be entering a dynamic workplace where you can make the most of current business prospects and available resources to foster growth. Whilst experience as a Branch Manager or Sales Manager is advantageous, we are also happy to consider an experienced BDM who has strong financial acumen and has coached and developed others. Experience (current or previous) within the packaging industry is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share in NSW.
- Plan sales activities, set targets, and forecast sales for the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, old and new.
- Manage sales team, provide guidance, support, and training.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and identify new opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers.
- Collaborate with marketing for promotional campaigns and events.
- Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and analyze data.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments for seamless operations and customer support.
About you
- Packaging industry experience is a must
- Several years of successful sales leadership experience
- Strong understanding of the packaging industry and market trends.
- Ability to motivate and manage a sales team effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends.
- Dedication to understanding and serving customer needs.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure deals and manage pricing.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the market and industry regulations
- Familiarity with sales management software and CRM systems.
