Job description

Due to an internal transfer, a rare opportunity has become available to join one of Australia’s top-selling Automotive brands in the role of Sales Manager with Burnie Mazda in the heart of Cooee’s Golden Mile.

ABOUT OUR BUSINESS:

Mazda is one of Australia’s top-selling brands, synonymous with style and safety and offering a model range that caters to all lifestyles and budgets. The last few years has been an amazing journey for Burnie Mazda - consistently achieving record new Mazda Sales, delivering unprecedented customer satisfaction outcomes and the launch of a newly renovated (and long awaited!) showroom.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Due to some exciting internal business changes, our sales department requires a passionate new leader capable of managing a sales team to reach monthly vehicles sales and customer satisfaction targets. To take us to the next level, we're seeking a self-motivated, energetic Sales Manager, who loves the thrill of the chase, enjoys engaging with customers and closing deals that suit every individual's lifestyle and budget. We are looking for a talented, experienced, results driven professional who is keen to embark on their next exciting career journey. For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to secure themselves an exciting position with an established industry leader, with career development opportunities, strong managerial and manufacturer support and access to unlimited earning potential facilitated by a guaranteed retainer and attractive commission structure.

We’re looking for that one person who can effectively coordinate and control a range of sales, customer service and team management functions in a busy and profitable dealership environment.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and leading a high performing team - providing instruction and assistance to dealership team members
  • Day to day vehicle presentation, sales and customer service functions
  • Increasing used car sales performance, profitability and operating efficiency
  • Establishing and implementing dealership processes
  • Setting and measuring sales targets to be achieved and exceeded
  • Promptly responding to customer inquiries and distributing leads
  • Preparing weekly sales and management reports

The role on offer is a permanent full-time position, working a 10-day per fortnight roster, including Saturdays under a rotational arrangement and midweek day off.

ABOUT YOU:

We're looking for someone who can confidently lead a team, who has dynamic leadership qualities and previous selling experience (from coffee to houses and anything in between!), rounded out with the right attitude and a keen desire to succeed …

The successful candidate for this role will:

  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to drive positive business and customer outcomes
  • Possess a strong knowledge of vehicles and their features or the ability to quickly learn these attributes
  • Be able to operate effectively in a fast paced environment and be able to adapt to changing demands
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to people, process, and productivity & efficiency
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively
  • Have a proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets and customer service benchmarks, with the ability to expand sales opportunities
  • Lead from the front, inspire others and set the example through values in action
  • Be solutions focused and able to create a high performing culture with clear expectations, influential leadership, and effective management practices
  • Be trustworthy, reliable and goal orientated with a strong work ethic
  • Be professionally and personally well presented
  • Have a high level of computer literacy with experience in a range Microsoft Office programs
  • Hold a current unrestricted TAS Drivers Licence

Additionally, the ideal applicant will be someone who will take personal pride in ensuring the dealership is well organised and presented, sales functions are seamless at every touch point, and vehicles are presented and delivered to a consistently high standard, during each and every customer experience. This is an important position which has a direct influence on customer satisfaction and repeat business, based on the reliable, dependable range of cars we offer supported by a knowledgeable, credible, customer focused sales team.

Our customer-focused culture offers a fantastic platform for you to learn, grow, and thrive. Within this environment you will also require the ability to mentor and develop people within your team.

The suitable applicant does not necessarily need to have motor vehicle industry sales experience, although this will certainly be considered.
