Opening in Q3 2024, Lanson Place Parliament Gardens will be a Luxurious 5-star boutique property combining the conveniences of a hotel with the modern comforts of serviced apartments. With 137 state-of-the-art accommodation units, guests can choose from a range of accommodation options from hotel rooms, Studio apartments, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments. Two penthouses will complete the offering proving a spacious retreat, with 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, separate living and dining and outdoor terrace. World-class facilities will complement the experience including guest lounge, swimming pool, spa, restaurant, bar and 24-hours gym.
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing and collaborating with our key department heads - you will be assisting in leading the sales activities through a well-planned strategy and tactical plan. You'll be the expert in sales at the hotel and partner closely with the DOSM to ensure we're on a pathway to achieve our strategic goals!
Main duties
• Work in conjunction with DOSM on pre-opening revenue & sales strategies and activity planning
• Pro-actively source new business with particular focus on corporate, government, groups, sport & entertainment
• Research key projects associated with relocation / long stay accommodation needs
• Leverage relationships with TMC’s, agents and industry connections to grow new business opportunities
• Conduct sales presentations, customer site inspections and interstate sales trips
• Represent hotel at industry events, networking functions and tradeshows
• Stay up to date with industry trends and market intelligence and adjust strategies and activities accordingly
• Preparation of monthly sales reports and analysis
Key Requirements
• High level of motivation and self-discipline with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in the hotel industry advantageous
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders (internal & external) as well as varying management levels.
• Ability to pivot focus in a fast-paced environment
• Creative flair – think outside the box to achieve sales goals & revenue targets
• Excellent listening skills
• Ability to create and maintain strong professional relationships
• Energy, drive and tenacity to succeed
• Passion for hospitality
