Reporting to the General Manager, The purpose of the Sales Manager role is to lead and shape a growing, fast-paced sales team (4 area managers and 2 tele sales staff) to ensure that targets are met and by extension, that business goals are also met and revenue is increased. This role will also provide significant forecasting and reporting for senior management in the business. You will manage the promotions & sales drives in conjunction with suppliers from start to finish, work on sales and business development with the team, engagement with customers, and marketing materials / POS / needs, also in liaison with the suppliers. Ideally based around Airlie Beach / Cannonvale (or nearby).
Ideally you are currently managing a small successful sales team focussed on driving business through the foodservice channel and you are skilled in selling and the marketing of food or food related products. With a genuine passion to impact the commercial strategies of a significant business you are capable of managing, coaching and motivating a small sales team but at the same time are also renowned for building strong relationships with your customers.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of sales representatives and Telesales personnel.
* The design, maintenance and implementation of the sales plans required to meet the sales objectives as laid out in the Business and Marketing Plans created with assistance of senior management.
* Coach and mentor staff within the team to ensure business objectives in relation to profitability are met.
* Develop and implement sales funnels.
* Lead the sales strategy planning by developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
* Manage accurate sales forecasting and reporting functions.
* Negotiating and securing business through external stakeholder engagement
* Build and maintain external stakeholder partnerships and referral structures.
* Develop and manage sales drives and promotions.
* Manage external sales promotion with suppliers.
* Create and develop trade showcases with customers and suppliers.
* Create and coordinate marketing campaigns with third parties and suppliers.
* Liaise with key accounts.
* Undertake quarterly performance reviews of direct reports.
