M-Elec (melec.com.au) is looking for a new team member to partner with our state manager visiting, helping and serving electricians across the ACT. Our company’s vision is to improve the lives of electricians through products and services, and if this aligns with you - we need to talk!
We are looking for a team member to work under the direction of our NSW/ACT State Manager to be responsible for contractor relationship management and to ensure we take care of our M-World members!
We are after applicants that are:
- Are a people person/great communicator/or someone with a huge personality?
- Do you work hard, and have the capacity to maintain your attitude to hit goals and KPIs?
- Possess excellent relationship building and negotiation skills and you are a confident team player with a mature outlook and the ability to work autonomously.
You are highly organised but flexible, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure. You will be interested in technology and prior experience in lighting and/or external sales, especially calling upon and developing a contractor and consultant portfolio will be looked upon favourably.
With the objective of calling on existing contractors (M-World), consultants and nurturing their requirements. You will be working under the direction of the State Manager and a comprehensive induction plan would ensure that you feel confident about our company and our products before you are customer facing.

For 18 years we have been building our group (M-Holdings - www.mholdings.com.au) to operate within Australia and now expanding globally via our operation in China. We are lead by a CEO who is passionate about creating products and getting them to market through skilled people. The group began in Queensland, Australia with the Mobbs family’s small electrical business on the Sunshine Coast. Identifying gaps in the electrical wholesale market, Tim Mobbs designed a range of products suitable for electricians which quickly became highly demanded. After rapidly growing the founding company {M-Elec Pty Ltd) over several years, other businesses were started or acquired to serve several markets. Now, the group designs, manufactures and supplies to a wide range of industry including defence, electrical wholesale, mining, telecommunications and EV infrastructure.
Package: Base salary + Super + car allowance + tools of the trade
Skills/experience required:
- A skilled influencer and problem solver
- Electrical licence (advantage)
- An excellent communicator, with a high level of presentation and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, flexible and a determined approach to be a solution provider
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage with people at all levels
