About this role
Udemy is looking for a Sales and Solutions Engineer with excellent communication and organization skills, knowledge and experience with software development practices and techniques. With a passion to help businesses become modern “learning organizations”. Success requires close collaboration with multiple teams including engineering, design, sales, customer success, support, legal and other diverse stakeholders around the world. You will need to understand general issues across a wide technical landscape from authentication protocols to debugging the effects of web proxy, and supporting our Customer Success team with API-based integration for small and large enterprise customers. Getting results for our customers and partners is vital, and this role requires someone that will fill the gaps that exist and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences. In a quickly changing technical environment, you will need to be comfortable in a fast paced and growing business.
What you'll be doing
- A crossfunctional wizard:
- Serve as technical subject matter expert for customers, and internal teams on all aspects of Udemy for Business and SaaS applications;
- Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing
- Create demos, articles and tutorials for a highly technical audience
- Seamlessly supporting customer pre-sales and post-sales requirements across a wide range of technical domains
- (SAML 2.0, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC, Security, API, Integration)
- A technical expert in Udemy API's and system architecture supporting Integration Partners and customers with their bespoke deployments
- SSO, API and HRIS/LMS integrations, analytics, and reporting data streams.
- Implement and document solutions for integrating Udemy for Business with SaaS applications.
- 5-7 years experience in enterprise Sales Engineering / Solution Consulting.
- Technical experience: With microservices, understanding of data structures and algorithms, eith popular structured query languages (mysql, postgres, pl/sql).
- Solid understanding of authentication protocols (SAML 2.0, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC)), Web APIs and experience debugging Web applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a track record of successfully overcoming technical and security objections in customer integrations;
- An understanding of core security concepts; e.g., SSL/TLS, encryption ciphers, and GDPR data privacy.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams of varying disciplines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent degree and experience.
- Knowledge of security protocols surrounding handling of personal data
- Ability to create/manage open source projects in partnerships with your Solutions Engineer colleagues.
