Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representative with a passion for tiles and stone and a keen eye for design. Having great interpersonal skills is crucial for success and an understanding of both the aesthetic elements (design trends, colour schemes, patterns) related to tiles and stone and the technical aspects of the products such as material composition, durability, installation techniques. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving sales, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting our diverse range of products to clients across various industries. 

Responsibilities

  • Traveling to and from clients (Northern Rivers, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast)
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, builders, developers, tilers, contractors and other stakeholders in the construction and interior design industry.
  • Interacting with customers to understand their needs, preferences, space requirements and budget restraints. Providing personalised recommendations and solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Product presentations with Architects and Interior Designers showcasing our stocked ranges along with new ranges we can source.
  • Design and product knowledge to showcase product features, benefits, and applications to assist customers in selecting effective products that complement their aesthetic vision and meet their functional requirements. 
  • Custom sourcing products from suppliers overseas that meets the clients brief.
  • Technical expertise assisting customers with technical aspects such as calculating the required quantity of tiles, recommending suitable adhesives and grouts, and providing guidance on installation methods. 
  • Generate leads, follow up on inquiries and actively pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets. 
  • Provide accurate quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales transactions in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on industry design trends, styles and popular patterns to maintain a competitive edge in the market as well as product development to identify opportunities for business growth and differentiation.
  • Performing administrative duties such as following up with clients after each visit, preparing sales reports, maintaining customer databases and processing orders.
  • Addressing customer concerns and complaints promptly and effectively. This requires good problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions that satisfy both the customer and the company.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Valid open driver license and roadworthy vehicle 
  • Degree in Interior Design and/or Business (Preferred)
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the tiles, stone or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of tiles and stone products, including materials, applications, and installation methods. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate product features and benefits effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Creative flair and design sensibility to assist customers with aesthetic decision-making.
  • Goal-orientated mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience and proficiency in CRM system.
