About the Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated & talented Sales Territory Manager to join our team. Your focus will be to engage customers and assist to develop the Sonoma business, and brand, to its full potential.  All the usual sales tasks will apply – identifying new business, account management, build strong positive relationships with customers, sharing information, investigating new leads and resolving issues to find ways to achieve results with business partners. The territory has significant growth opportunities and covers the Sydney Northern SUBURBS & Newcastle.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers in the territory.
  • Plan and organise personal sales strategy by ensuring allocated time for existing customers and business development.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Execute the sales effort as per the marketing calendar with marketing, customer service, accounts, logistics or any other team required.
  • Analyse the market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify competitor products and activities and work with the sales manager to target customer opportunities.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Develop clear and effective proposals for prospective customers ensuring pricing and profit integrity.
  • Make telephone calls and in person visits and presentations to prospective customers.
  • Identify prospective customers by using social media, industry publications, incoming leads through customer service, word of mouth opportunities, forming relationships with clients to be front of mind when they move venues.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences; review menus and pricing to assess customer purchasing potential.
  • Manage accurate and timely entry of all relevant customer logs and tasks into the CRM.

About You:

  • 3+ years' experience in a sales role
  • Customer focused - PASSIONATE about interacting and building rapport with clients and providing innovative, memorable experiences
  • A strong knowledge and passion for the hospitality industry and be comfortable communicating at all levels, from executive chefs and business owners to individual site and procurement managers.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating ability
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Commercial acumen be results oriented and target driven.
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate
  • Solutions focused and have strong problem solving skills
  • Effective, 'Hands-on' approach
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking
  • Be a collaborative team player – concerned with the team success as well as individual performance
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Flexibility in working hours, the hospitality industry never stops.
  • Valid Drivers' License.
  • Must be able to use MS Office applications – Word, Outlook, and Excel to a competent standard
