About the role

As the System Administrator, you will be responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and user support of AMCS’ CRM environment (Salesforce and Marketing Cloud). This role ensures that our CRM system remains up-to-date, secure, and optimised for performance and is crucial in supporting the effective operations of the organisation’s fundraising activities, supporter programs and campaigns.

Reporting to the Web & IT Solutions Architect you will use your skill set to ensure the organisation is getting the most functionality out of the Salesforce CRM system including process improvements and efficiencies. This will range from identifying and resolving system problems to training users on resolutions and new functions, or update, in the CRM system. You will work with a small team of knowledge specialists to translate requirements into efficient and effective technical solutions that meet the needs of the organisation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

System Administration and Technical Support:

  • Provide end-to-end administration of Australian Marine Conservation Society’s Salesforce database (NPSP version) and Marketing Cloud system.
  • Oversee Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, templates, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, and custom settings. This role will also be responsible for supporting Marketing Cloud configurations such as data extensions.
  • Triage user support tickets and provide problem resolution on tickets and requests where relevant.
  • Manage, investigate and troubleshoot issues related to system integrations.
  • Manage and maintain Sandbox environments.
  • Identify unused or under utilised platform features.
  • Work with the technical team to develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to define business and functional requirements as well as support the development of platform roadmaps and implementation plans for large development projects.

User Management and Support:

  • Manage all aspects of user and license management of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles and permissions.
  • Support the technical development and maintenance of dashboards and reports for internal teams and users.
  • Monitor and improve user adoption of the CRM including providing onboarding and user training where relevant.

System Security and Governance:

  • Provide proactive system and security maintenance including backups, security reviews, release updates, health checks and ensuring relevant security policies and protocols are updated.
  • Support data management practices to ensure data quality and integrity are maintained including maintaining deduplication tools, and implementing rules and automations as needed.
  • Support with communications regarding platform changes to end users and stakeholders.
  • Participate and provide technical knowledge to working groups and committees that support the governance of AMCS’ CRM environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role working with Salesforce NPSP (essential) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (desirable), managing platform health, performance and user profiles.
  • Salesforce certified administrator or equivalent training or qualifications.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g. version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)) as well as an understanding of Salesforce deployment and management (e.g. SFDX, Change sets, SF Metadata API).
  • Experience in project management including the use of project tracking tools (Jira, Asana).
  • Strong and friendly communication and interpersonal skills – you will be able to effectively and professionally translate technical terms to everyday language as well as provide training and end-user support for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to autonomously manage competing priorities – you will be working in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Investigative analysis skills – you will be able to problem solve on a strategic and detailed operational level.
  • A passion for working towards achieving positive outcomes for Australia’s oceans and marine life.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

  • Experience working with NFPs, NGOs or Community Organisations.
  • Experience working with Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience with Apex, Lightning Web component and/or VisualForce.
  • Experience managing and maintaining WordPress on WP Engine.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • We would prefer the person in this role to be based in Brisbane however applications from other locations will be considered.
  • This role will be offered on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week (part-time arrangements may be considered for exceptional candidates).
