The Role
The Business Systems Analyst – Financials is responsible for identifying opportunities, managing and delivering specific IT projects and supporting / enhancing existing processes and solutions to all Rheem Australia group businesses utilising the SAP financials functions i.e. covering the SAP modules of FI (GL, AP, AR, and AM) and CO (CCA, PCA, PA, internal orders, and product costing).
In recommending solutions to businesses, the Business Systems Analyst – Financials can validly recommend solutions that are not IT based i.e. manual solutions. The key requirement is to recommend and successfully implement the best and most effective solution for the businesses. More specific responsibilities are outlined below;
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of SAP functionality and capability in the Financials and Controlling areas which will enable the incumbent to make recommendations / initiate proposals regarding business process improvements / standardisation, opportunities for businesses to obtain greater value from IT solutions etc.
- Provide first level support for key users in the Financials and Controlling areas. Ensure that appropriate levels of training and documentation are made available for users.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute activities supporting business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with a unified system architecture and defined technology practices.
- Offer consultative services to business process owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), managing project budgets, driving business case development, and identifying strategic projects.
- Ensure outsourced services align with agreed service quality and contract conditions, overseeing service-related delivery.
- Safeguard systems integrity through controlled and reviewed introduction of changes into the environment.
- Maintain close liaison with appropriate business management to ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.
- Pursue continuous learning and development in other functional areas and applications (e.g., S/4 HANA) in alignment with our digital transformation journey.
- Oversee user security administration for SAP, ensuring detailed knowledge of user profiles and authorization objects. Verify authenticity of requests for additions, changes, and deletions in authorizations while maintaining a comprehensive audit trail of changes made. Provide assistance during SAP security audits as needed.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Qualification is business-related or education discipline ideal
- Experience in SAP FI and CO
- Qualification in SAP Module (FS) would be preferred
- Strong record of delivering effective training
- Sound understanding of business processes in financial and controls
- The ability to communicate with various members of the business and translate their requirements into a delivered solution is essential
- Possess a high problem-solving ability and utilise effective analysis, design and project management techniques
- A customer centric focus
