AddressMincore Pty Ltd seeks expressions of interest for an experienced Scheduler/Planner for an exciting new green fields project in the Kido Precinct of Papua New Guinea. (Approximately 25km east of Port Moresby) based in our Project office in Melbourne.
The role requires you to create and maintain the Master Project Schedule and assist in driving activities to that schedule. You will be responsible to support the project team in both the home office and on site. Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager, you will work closely with the Project and Construction Managers to ensure that all deliverables and activities meets Project required timelines. You will be proactive in driving the desired outcomes, constantly challenging and working together with the project team Leads and developing mitigating strategies where required.
You will have experience in Construction projects in the Minerals processing sector. To be considered for this exciting and challenging role, you will need to bring your expertise in effectively preparing and managing project schedules with a project timeline of 18-months. This role requires a detail-oriented hands-on Scheduler/ Planner with a proven track record of success in managing large-scale projects.
The role:
The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing project plans in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders. You will ensure that progress is accurately tracked and recorded against baseline schedule and aligns with the cost forecast. You will also provide regular updates to the Project Controls, Project Manager and Construction Managers allowing them to address any deviations from the plan proactively and ensure both cost and schedules are aligned.
The Requirements:
Required years of experience: 10+15 years minimum
- Broad EPCM project work experience is essential.
- Prior experience in Mining related Construction projects.
- Proven track record for the delivery of project objectives and established targets is essential.
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal, written communication, and public speaking skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Provide regular reports on project progress and schedule performance.
- Previous experience in Primavera P6 essential, some experience in Microsoft Project.
- Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes and tools.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related discipline
- Previous experience as a scheduler or in a similar role
- Knowledge of scheduling best practices and procedures
- Essential previous extensive experience in the use of Primavera P6, with some experience in Microsoft Project.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Flexibility to adjust schedules and priorities as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
