- We have a part time, fixed term Health Promotion Planner opportunity available on the beautiful Bellarine!
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and organised person to join our Healthy and Connected Communities team for the final year of the 4-year Live Well Bellarine Health Promotion plan. This 2 day, 15.2 hour per week position is fixed term until 30 June 2025. The team is based at our Point Lonsdale site working onsite, remotely, and in settings.
About Us
Bellarine Community Health (BCH) is the major provider of primary health care services to the Bellarine Peninsula. BCH is a not-for-profit health care provider with close links to our community operating from five sites across the Bellarine.
About the Team
Our Healthy and Connected Communities team (HCCT) is a very passionate, friendly and highly skilled team, who aim to keep our community healthy and well and prevent people from getting sick in the first place. Our key focus areas are eat well, be active and tobacco-free living. We work closely with the local community, and regional and state bodies.
About the role
The Healthy and Connected Communities Planner will join a dedicated integrated Health Promotion team and undertake primary prevention planning, implementation and evaluation as outlined within the BCH Community Health – Health Promotion Plan. This role will support active living initiatives within equity settings on the Bellarine Peninsula, specifically leading the co-design and implementation of active travel actions within primary school settings.
We would like to hear from you, if you…
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Health Promotion, Public Health or related discipline.
- Have demonstrated experience in evidence-based Health Promotion practice.
- Are experienced in planning, co-design, implementation and evaluation of Health Promotion programs and community development projects.
- Possess strong interpersonal, written and communication skills, with an ability to work proactively and independently.
