Part-time | 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Casino Canberra is looking for a part-time Scheduling Officer to be responsible for the efficient and effective preparation and maintenance of rosters within the gaming department, ensuring a high level of support to department heads and the provision of exceptional internal customer service. The successful applicant will preferably be experienced in scheduling and workforce planning or have relevant transferable experience and skills. This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position, responsible for business wide scheduling and workforce planning for a candidate with the right experience and skills.
Cards on the table – The role As the Scheduling Officer, you will play an essential part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Gaming Department.
Your role will:
- Focus on delivering rosters to achieve business and Enterprise Agreement deadlines and requirements
- Prepare daily rosters for all staff within relevant departments and make alterations as required
- Ensure sick calls and other requests are appropriately handled and arrange to replace and cover shifts as required
- Communicate openly and effectively with courtesy, fairness, and integrity to all team members
- Develop strong knowledge of department business, staffing and customer activities to support rostering effectiveness
- Ensure business roster requirements are completed within budgetary expectation and invoke signoff processes through
- department management where required
- Ensure all business and legal rules are applied to scheduling processes
- Provide accurate costing forecasts to assist in budgetary processes
- Utilise supply and demand data to identify potential rostering improvements and potential cost savings
- Ensure full confidentiality of all information collected for both employee and operations
