Take a look here what it's like to work at Tyro

About the role:

As a Scheme Compliance Analyst (Issuing), you will be responsible for understanding Tyro's obligations to each Scheme and Industry partner in Australia to ensure that Tyro is always compliant with the relevant Scheme and Industry requirements and rules.

You will be reporting to the Payments Industry Relationship Manager and will work alongside many cross functional stakeholders. You will be required to use your excellent stakeholder management skills to engage, excite and navigate stakeholders through all required Scheme (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, eftpos etc.) and Industry (e.g. Australian Payments Network) enhancements as well as "best practice" operational improvements.

What you'll do:

    • Collaborate with teams in Product and other Tyro teams (Risk, Engineering, Finance etc.) to execute and deliver on Scheme and Industry compliance changes and requirements.
    • Receive, review and analyse Scheme and Industry communications.
    • Develop recommendations on required Scheme and Industry compliance changes and where Tyro may need to apply for exemptions avoiding penalties, where possible.
    • Articulate requirements to enable engineering to implement relevant changes.
    • Ensure appropriate prioritisation and stakeholder management to drive Scheme and Industry matters into the Tyro Quarterly Planning (TQP) process.
    • Contribute to key strategic projects for Tyro including active engagement of both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assess risks and impacts to Tyro if compliance is delayed or overlooked.
    • Attend or coordinate with other Tyro team members to participate in specific Scheme and Industry working groups or committees.
    • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the payments business.
    • Plan for and prepare roadmap based on Scheme and Industry change communication cycles.
    • Oversight of Scheme and Industry reporting to ensure the relevant reporting requirements are being met and completed in a timely manner.
    • Organise and host Scheme and Industry information sessions to raise awareness, inform and educate the relevant stakeholders across Tyro.

What you'll bring:
    • 5+ years experience gained in issuing-related roles across domestic/international Schemes.
    • Demonstrated thorough understanding of Scheme and Industry partners in Australia and their roles in the payments ecosystem.
    • Demonstrated requirements analysis skills and ability to work with Engineering to implement recommended changes.
    • Ability to solve problems with consideration of the business impact.
    • Experience in building and maintaining relationships across the business to drive changes.
    • Proven data analytics experience.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills.
