Details: Florey Primary School is a preschool to year 6 school situates in the Belconnen area of Canberra. This diverse multicultural school strives to promote a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment which supports children to excel as learners.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated person who demonstrates initiative to fill the role of Learning Support Assistant.
The successful applicant will have experience or willingness to work with students with complex behaviours and utilise knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice to support students to have a positive experience at school.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Applicant must have a current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration.
- A First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake training.
- Certificate 3 in Education Support or equivalent is desirable.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 22 July 2024 for six months with the possibility of permanency. This position is part-time at (31:15) hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
