Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School is an Anglican day school strongly committed to single sex education for girls. Catering for students from Early Learning Centre (Three Year Old) to Year 12, Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School seeks to provide excellence in education within a caring Christian community and to prepare young women for a personally and professionally fulfilling life.
Reporting to the Head of Counselling Services, the School Counsellor will work with students and families in all year levels, from Early Learning Centre (Three and Four year olds) through to Year 12. The School Counsellor will provide psychological services to students and parents including counselling, pastoral care and testing and assessment of students. In the Senior School, the School Counsellor will work closely with the Year Level Coordinators and Class Tutors to support the pastoral care system of the School.
This position is part time (3 days per week) and fixed term for Term 3 to cover a staff member on leave.
The successful applicant will have qualifications and registration as a Child or Adolescent Psychologist and experience working with and sound understanding of the needs of girls in all levels from Early Learning Centre (Three and Four year olds) through to Year 12. A valid and current Working with Children Check will also be required for this position.
