A very rewarding opportunity in Blacktown for you to coach and mentor School Leavers with a disability, or from different demographics to overcome barriers when obtaining employment and getting into the work force.
You will be working with a supportive team who's top priority is providing one on one support to our School Leavers by identifying their employment interests and current skills, areas of development, capacity building techniques and developing individualised job plans.
This position requires someone fun, kind, empathetic and with a natural ability to engage with young people and make a real difference to their transition to employment. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is solution focused when seeking employment opportunities and making warm and cold calls with prospective businesses.
This is perfect for someone newer to the world of Employment Consultancy or Recruitment with a passion for the Disability Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain excellent relationship with School Leavers, families and stakeholders.
- Bridging the gab between School Leavers with a disability and employment opportunities!
- Facilitate fun and engaging group capacity building, work safety and job search sessions.
- Researching the industry to help gain opportunities
- Liaise and negotiate with local business and potential employers on behalf of our employees, discuss suitability and effectively refer them to suitable opportunities.
- Ensure reports, compliance with administrative processes are followed.
- Have fun (always) and bring the best version of yourself!
Requirements:
- Previous recruitment/employment services/relationship building experience or experience supporting young people / someone with a disability.
- Clear communication
- Great administration and report writing skills
- Current NSW Driver’s License (P2 and above) and your own vehicle to travel to Blacktown.
- Please note: This role FT and requires you on site due to face to face meetings with families
