As the School Wellbeing Person, you will be responsible for the provision of support to students for their social, emotional, cognitive and behavioural development. The Wellbeing person provides both individual and group interventions with the aim of being proactive and preventative. The Wellbeing person is expected to work as a member of the school's Wellbeing and Intervention teams.
Total Hours and working days are negotiable. 3 days is preferred but a shorter period may be considered.
Criteria:
A minimum qualification as outlined in the linked document National School Chaplaincy or a relevant greater or equivalent qualification including competencies in working with mental health and responding to client's needs
A strong understanding of relevant ethical and legal requirements, especially in relation to working within a school setting
Experience in providing evidence-based supports for children and families in individual and group settings
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Experience and ability to respond appropriately to students presenting with complex needs
Ability to work as part of a Wellbeing care team
