Scientific Director requirements
Degree in Biological Science.
Master’s degree or postgraduate diploma in reproductive biology, cell biology or biochemistry.
A minimum of 5 year’s full time equivalent clinical embryology experience.
Preference is for at least 3 of these post training years to have been in a supervisory role.
We are seeking an experienced full -time Laboratory Manager (and Senior embryologist) to join our team. You will work in our new Sydney clinic, managing the laboratory and as part of a motivated multidisciplinary team that provides exceptional care of patients undergoing fertility investigations and treatment.
Scientific Director
As lab manager your role will include:
Development, Implementation and monitoring of compliance with lab and clinic policies and procedures.
Day to day scheduling and supervision of the IVF and andrology laboratories
Training and supervision and competency assessment of other lab staff.
Quality control through for example maintenance and monitoring of equipment, inventory records, collation of KPIS and outcome data.
As part of the laboratory team, your role will include:
IVF, ICSI and associated ART procedures including blastocyst culture, biopsy and vitrification.
Andrology procedures including semen analysis, preparation for ART and cryopreservation.
Extensive communication with patients and colleagues.
The successful candidate will not only demonstrate exemplary laboratory technique; proficiency in all routine specialist IVF laboratory techniques; but will have accurate data recording and interpretive skills; analytical and problem solving skills; outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Nurse Unit Manager requirements
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) with qualifications to satisfy RTAC requirements, to join our prestigious healthcare team in Sydney. As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care within our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff in the unit
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and standards
- Coordinate patient care activities and optimise workflow efficiency
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance and patient safety standards
- Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Manage budgets, resources, and equipment within the unit
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a healthcare setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practice
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
