About the department
The Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine opreates a clinical service providing extensive inpatient and outpatient care. The Respiratory Laboratory is a key component of the department and provides a comprehensive, tertiary level, diagnostic laboratory service to the Austin Hospital and wider community.
About the role
This full-time fixed term position (6 weeks) will be primarily responsible for performing a range of routine lung function tests and potentially some more compelx tests withn the Respiratory Laboratory.
About you
The person we are looking for must be commited to a high standard of patient care and have the ability to work both independently asnd as part of a team. They must have excellent communication skills being able to interact affectively with staff, patients and external health care agencies. They must possess a relevant undergraduate qualification and have knowledge of respiratory physiology and experience in lung function testing.
