Form of work Participate in continuous shift scientific rostering at the TPCH laboratory, performing simple to complex investigations across Haematology/Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology and perform preanalytical services in Central Specimen Reception where required. Work cooperatively and communicate effectively within the team and with clients, both internal and external to the laboratory. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform simple to complex investigations, in all disciplines for which the TPCH Laboratory is responsible including Chemical Pathology, Haematology/Transfusion and Microbiology. Ability to efficiently prioritize specimens, perform tests accurately and efficiently without direct supervision and work independently towards the logical solution of scientific and technical problems.
