About the role
AMS has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Screener Supervisor to join our team at Paraburdoo Airport on a residential basis working Monday to Friday. The Screener Supervisor’s role is diverse, but ultimately focuses on ensuring the safety, security and integrity of the airport, aircraft, and passengers. The Screener Supervisor’s role will involve supervising a team of Screening Officers, preparing staff rosters, monthly reports and working at the screening point with the traveling public. The successful applicant will have demonstrated strong leadership skills, excellent communication and an intermediate knowledge of software programs, word, excel and outlook.
Required Qualifications and Previous Experience:
- Experience in an aviation screening role and a sound understanding of the relevant sections of the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004, the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 and the Aviation Screening Notice
- Hold Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or hold Certificate II in Security Operations (with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with aviation screening)
- Hold or ability to obtain First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work well in public and a team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- A professional attitude and excellent grooming standards
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- CASA Drug & Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) Awareness Training (desirable)
- Dangerous Goods Awareness Training (desirable)
