Scrub Scout Registered Nurses - Cardiothoracic | Gold Coast

An excellent opportunity exists for a dynamic and motivated Scrub Scout Registered Nurse with previous experience to join the perioperative team at a private hospital on the Gold Coast. It's a permanent part-time position (64 hours/fortnight).
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
• Documenting the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely, and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology;

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• At least 1-year experience as a Scrub Scout in a perioperative setting, Cardiothoracic experience preferred;
• Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Commitment to quality patient care;
• Ability to work independently and within a team;
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Exceptional computer skills;
• On-call shifts are required (nights and weekends if there is an emergency case);
