The Role
As the SDA Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating various facets of SDA housing and development initiatives. Your role will play a crucial part within the Housing Engagement team, offering project management, consultancy services and support for upcoming SDA projects.
You will be managing administrative tasks and facilitating project communication with developers and service providers for all Nesti SDA projects, spanning from the planning and design phase to the construction completion and property onboarding stage. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, your expertise will help to ensure that prospective tenants can successfully attain their housing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively cultivate relationships with external client stakeholders, such as developers, investors, and service providers, to facilitate and support SDA project planning and development activities.
- Collaborate closely with the team to expand the Nesti SDA portfolio and contribute to the identification of new opportunities.
- Partner with participants, developers, and service providers to evaluate designs, facilitating the delivery of accessible SDA housing customized to the needs of the participants.
- Engaging in and leading development meetings with developers, investors, and service providers to discuss SDA projects and for routine project updates.
- Acting as the main contact for the implementation of all SDA developments, ensuring Nesti's due diligence is conducted, providing support, fostering connections, and offering expert advice to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate tasks and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the onboarding of new SDA properties aligns with Nesti's property onboarding process, ensuring homes are prepared for incoming tenants.
- Leading the enrolment of all Nesti SDA dwellings with the NDIA.
- Assist in attracting new SDA business, help formulate business proposals, deliver presentations, conduct feasibility studies, and explore potential housing projects as needed.
About you
- Proven expertise in the principles of SDA and accessible housing design and development.
- Have an understanding and the knowledge of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
- Have high level customer service and the ability to work together with other key stakeholders to help oversee the successful delivery of SDA projects from initiation to completion.
- Are familiar with the National Disability Insurance Scheme, funding principles, and a comprehensive understanding of the disability sector and working with participants.
- Have advanced interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work within a team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to actively contribute towards achieving Nesti’s overall strategies.
Other Employment Requirements
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Current Australian driver’s license.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain).
