The RoleReporting to the General Manager, the primary function of this newly created role is to nurture and grow existing client relationships, as well as actively identify new business opportunities by promoting SETS four core business divisions, which include Training, Personnel, Fleet and Equipment.
The role will suit someone who can work autonomously and build professional relationships at both a site and corporate level whilst finding and introducing new business.
You will help drive Business Development and shape the growth of our company, bringing your extensive network and knowledge to support the business.
There will be a requirement for regional travel throughout Western Australia, where most of our clients work in the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields and South-West.
About the role – key responsibilities will include:- Provide proposals for new business and quotes for services and training solutions;
- Liaise with key stakeholders and provide timely and friendly feedback;
- Identify and source new market opportunities to the business;
- Proactively drive strategies to ensure a seamless client experience to achieve new business targets;
- Maintain and report weekly/monthly client growth and activity; and
- Build strong network contacts and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients and key stakeholders within the industry to leverage business opportunities
To be successful in this role, you will have a drive to succeed and a proven track record of two years in a client facing Business Development role, or extensive operational emergency services experience. Additionally, you will possess the following:
- Previous Mining and Emergency Services Training industry and sales experience is essential;
- Excellent verbal, written and negotiating skills;
- Demonstrated selling and closing new business proposals is essential;
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and experience utilising CRMs will be highly regarded;
- Self-motivated and able to report on activity and deliver results;
- Able to work independently and effectively collaborate and communicate with clients and our team; and
- Be highly organised, with the ability to think on your feet, and prioritise changing work demands.
