Foodlink Australia is one of the largest, fastest-growing Food Service Distributors in New South Wales. We require a Seafood Operations Manager to head our Seafood processing department based at our Kingsgrove warehouse and distribution facility in Sydney.
The Seafood Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the Foodlink Seafood department including fish processing and distribution to ensure the highest quality seafood offering as part of our successful food service business. This position is responsible for a team of 30 staff.
The role reports to the Head of Operations and is responsible to:
- Oversee our day-to-day operations of seafood processing / production facility
- Work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure the required operational goals, objectives and KPI's are achieved
- Work with our Quality and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with HACCP standards including the development of documented policies and procedures that must be followed
- Drive continuous improvement to improve quality, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Manage performance of the team and team leaders
- Actively engage in HACCP audits and corrective actions as required.
- Communicate between departments to smoothly integrate the seafood offering with warehouse procedures, inventory accuracy, purchasing needs, logistics and our customer service team
Some seafood knowledge is expected however senior management is available to support this role, previous experience in operations is also expected
