Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a stimulating learning environment by utilizing a diverse range of teaching styles and approaches to meet the individual learning needs of students.
- Understand and adhere to state and national course requirements, including the Australian Standards of Teaching and the CECV standards of professional practice.
- Employ a variety of effective teaching strategies to successfully implement the curriculum.
- Dedicate appropriate time to thorough lesson planning and organization.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
- Embrace the use of information and communications technologies to enrich the learning experience.
- Engage in constructive learning progress discussions with students.
- Craft formal academic reports that adhere to report writing guidelines.
- Monitor the progress of each student and provide regular and meaningful feedback.
- Collaborate with support staff to effectively implement the curriculum.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- VIT teaching certification.
- Proven experience in teaching secondary English, with a track record of student success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and support staff.
