Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
If you seek an exceptional teaching opportunity, look no further! An exciting chance awaits a Science/Maths teacher to join an Independent Girls School in Sunshine, commencing in Term 2. Joining a supportive and collaborative team, you'll teach Maths and Science to students in years 7-11 in a full-time capacity. This school provides a superb chance to immerse yourself in a vibrant school community within a professional working environment.Key duties:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Maths and Science curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, covering various topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
• Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating hands-on experiments, problem-solving activities, and inquiry-based investigations to enhance students' understanding and mastery of mathematical and scientific concepts.
• Design and administer assessments, tests, and experiments to evaluate students' understanding and provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their academic performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths and Science departments and across other subject areas to create interdisciplinary projects, thematic units, and cross-curricular connections.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in Maths and Science education.

Skills & Experience:

• Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
• Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Maths/Science
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
