Citipointe Christian College, established in 1978, is a leading independent, co-educational, Christian College of 1750 students situated in Carindale, a south-eastern suburb of Brisbane. The following positions are available as full time and fixed term:

• English
• English as an Additional Language Teacher
• Humanities
• Economics, Accounting and Business
• Expressions of Interest in other teaching areas

Position Summary:

Secondary teachers at Citipointe Christian College are supportive of the Educational Philosophy of the College and are focused on developing a culture of excellence. They take responsibility for the teaching, learning, assessment and reporting within the subject class and facilitate positive and productive community relationships. They play a role in student pastoral care, contributing to the well-being culture within the secondary context. Secondary teachers are committed to the holistic education of all students and continually improve their teaching techniques and practices. 

Requirements include:

• Queensland College of Teachers current registration (or evidence of eligibility)
• Written, current Pastor’s reference.

Essential attributes include:

• Profess a Christian belief and regularly attend a church fellowship
• Model Christian living and character
• Ability to integrate faith and learning in an authentic and engaging manner
• Have a minimum of a Bachelor of Education or equivalent and/or qualifications in specialist teaching areas
• Effective teaching practices
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• High degree of technological literacy
• Prior experience teaching using iPads preferable
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Effective organisation and time management skills
