Security Analyst

As a part of our Cyber Security team, this role is responsible for monitoring, analysing, reporting and supporting our cyber security strategy and objectives. Working closely with our Cybersecurity & Compliance Manager and Cloud Services team, our Security Analyst will liaise with multiple departments across the Aurion business and play a key role in furthering and maintaining our robust security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of our existing security solutions and ensure controls are kept up-to-date
• Regularly review security dashboards, consoles and reports to ensure awareness of potential risks and issues
• Coordinate and contribute to our internal and external Cyber Security reviews, assessments, scans, penetration tests and audits
• Execute security scans and assessments of our enterprise IT infrastructure, systems and applications
• Create and maintain quality and accurate security documentation, including policies, procedures and threat intelligence reports
• Investigate avenues to improve upon existing threat detection and hunting capabilities

Skills and experience

• Strong knowledge of current security threats, techniques, and landscape.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux Operating Systems and working knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS.
• Familiarity working based on security standards and architecture standards (e.g. ISO 27001, ISM, PSPF, Essential 8)
• Experience in Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, End Point Detection, Data Loss Prevention and working with a SIEM.
• Highly desirable to have prior experience in designing and tuning security use cases
• Highly desirable demonstrated experience of scripting/programming with Python or shell scripts
• Advantageous to have prior experience with the Atlassian suite
• Strong attention to detail alongside critical and analytical thinking
• Demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication
• Effective stakeholder and relationship management
