Brunel Australasia is partnering with one of the worlds leading energy companies to source an experienced Security and Emergency Response Support.
As Security & Emergency Response Support, you will work closely with the Security and ER Lead to deliver assurance against company standards and key asset documentation, aiming to improve performance. You will have access to Subject Matter Experts and support from a global network, providing you with opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities – To include but are not limited too:
- Provide support to the Security and Emergency Response Lead in managing Security and Emergency scenarios in an onshore operational environment.
- Utilize your operational experience from an International Oil and Gas Producer, Police, or Military background to prepare for response to specific scenarios, including risk identification, documentation, and security management at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
- Excellent understanding of government & business structures and functions, particularly in the response to Security and Emergency incidents.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and private providers, to ensure effective response to Security and Emergency incidents.
- Operate as an individual within the greater organisations in a proactive way, remain flexible, and use initiative to bring developing issues to senior management's attention.
- Coach and influence key stakeholders, including contractors, and proactively manage their needs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of complex multi-agency operations, such as police, defense, border force, and Emergency services procedures.
- Obtain and understanding and apply relevant workplace acts and regulations, including Australian and international legislation, to ensure compliance and practical application in the workplace.
- Maintain confidentiality, courtesy, and discretion in incident response and investigation.
- Utilize negotiation and dispute management skills at an operational level.
- Deliver projects in higher-risk or remote environments.
- Develop and deliver security-specific training and education sessions to diverse workgroups.
- Apply risk management techniques to identify, assess, and mitigate Security and Emergency Response risks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Security and Emergency management.
- Queensland security license (advisor)
- Diploma in Security Risk Management, Emergency Management or similar
- ISI (Industry Safety Induction) or industry experienced worker
- Training and/or experience in a recognized Emergency Response and management system (e.g., ICS, AIIMS, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality Security and Emergency Response work and positively impact HSSE culture.
- Strong operational experience and knowledge of industry hazards and security risks.
- Broad knowledge of national and international safety and security legislation and standards.
- Commitment to Goal Zero and personal accountability.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a proactive approach to connecting stakeholders across the business, including excellent external stakeholder liaison skills.
- Drive for digitalization, simplification, and improvement.
- Experience in operating assets and delivering current/best practice controls.
- Must be able to pass background checks and medical
- Must have full working rights in Australia and be located in South East QLD.
- Role is based in Chinchilla - travel provided by client from Brisbane to Chinchilla
- Accommodation and food provided whilst on swing
- 15/13 roster - 10 hour days
