Security Officer to join our team at the Chichester Gate House. The
Security Officer will be responsible for providing access control to site ensuring adherence to site access policies and procedures and ensuring the safety and security of our employees and visitors to our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Monitor and operate security systems and equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarms.
- Monitor emergency phone and Tetra radio for emergency calls
- Provide support to the operational team by implementing security protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to security operations.
- Adherence to Fortescue hazard and incident reporting requirements
Qualifications and Experience- Cert II Security Officer is essential
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role, preferably in a tactical or personnel support capacity.
- Cert III Investigations, Cert III CPO, Cert IV Security Management / Risk Analysis are advantageous to your application
- Valid Security Officer license or relevant certifications as required by state regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make quick, sound decisions.
- Proficient in using security equipment and systems, including CCTV monitoring and access control.
- Physical fitness and the capability to perform patrol duties for extended periods.
- Understanding of emergency response procedures and first aid/CPR certification preferred.
