Senior Accountant role reporting to the head of finance working for a successful Australian company

Your new role
A rare and exciting opportunity has opened up in their Head Office for a Senior Accountant. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will manage the financial reporting and board presentations and balance sheet integrity, with specific duties to include:
- Managing the financial reporting process
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including variance and trend analysis
- Board pack presentations
- Point of contact for internal and external audit and tax review
- Lease and property management AASB16
- Developing reporting capabilities for business partners
What you'll need to succeed
- A CA or CPA qualified accountant, your practical skills will include:
- Experienced working for a complex sizeable company, ideally within a distribution or product-related company
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts, including financial reporting
- Technical competency, AASB and IFRS
- Outstanding communication skills and confident liaising with internal / external stakeholders
- Ability to understand and manipulate data using your strong excel skills
