We are a unique boutique practice with established clients located in the heart of Brunswick east. We serve clients across a wide range of industries, offering comprehensive services including accounting and tax, business consulting and advisory. Due to the rapid growth of our practice, we now have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with at least 5-8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The full-time role will predominantly involve a variety of tasks, including:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, businesses and self-managed superfunds.
- Liaising with ATO and other regulatory bodies as required.
- Assisting clients with tax and business advisory services.
- Regularly engaging with clients to maintain strong relationships.
- Examining financial records for accuracy
- Supporting our teams in resolving tax queries, including conducting research and applying relevant legislation and tax rulings.
- Performing additional duties as required.
- Commenced or completed CA or CPA accreditation
- Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in CA/CPA firms with significant taxation responsibilities.
- Broader knowledge of taxation law and statutory regulations.
- Excellent communication, written and management skills.
- Computer literacy skills especially in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in the use of Xero, Xero tax, QuickBooks, MYOB and Class Super
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
