The opportunity:
Our Development finance team are looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant to join our team, with a focus on driving outcomes and providing sound financial advice and provide commercial support across our NSW development team. This role will oversee the financial management of a diverse portfolio of residential, retail and commercial assets and is an opportunity to act as both business partner and mentor to junior staff.
As the successful applicant, some of your responsibilities include:
- Partner with project teams to resolve finance issues and drive project and portfolio profitability
- Analyse financial implications of project ownership structures and advise on optimal finance outcomes.
- Collaborate with Legal, Tax, and Corporate teams to ensure positive commercial outcomes
- Lead bi-annual project forecasts, including financial reporting, analysis, and insights
- Assist with scenario modelling for key projects and the NSW portfolio
- Prepare and review monthly financial results for the NSW business unit
- Create financial performance packs for the GM, offering analysis and commentary
- Conduct quarterly reporting to the Corporate team for the Executive team and Board
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Prepare audited financial statements as required
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
- Degree qualifications in Commerce, Business, Economics, and/or Finance/Accounting
- CA or CPA membership
- Demonstrated experience in accounting, forecasting, and reporting within a large corporate or multi-national business, property industry highly regarded but not essential
- Strong skills in analysis, time management, and written and verbal communications
- Proficiency in Excel with strong analytical skills
