Job scope:
Responsible for statutory balance sheets and income statements. Focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, provisions, credits, etc., Primary involve in closing and consolidating as part of CCR (monthly closing). Add value through efficiency and reducing cost of Finance.
How will you help us achieve this:
- Oversee daily finance activities of Australian entities, including but not limited to accounts payable, receivable, payroll, treasury management, taxation, legal & compliance.
- Responsible for Financial accounting, Reconciliation, Closing, and Reporting activities, supporting GBS India's monthly financial close process including preparation of journal entries, submission of results into OneStream, and RCX preparation.
- Responsible for the full list of reporting requirements to authorities and make sure these are timely submitted
- Responsible for the process of establishing and winding down entities
- Liaise with external auditors, manage the preparation for the annual audit and ensure compliance with all governmental and fiscal reporting requirements.
- Ensure robust financial systems and processes are in place and are compliant with Australian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- In charge of optimization of accounting and reporting tools Epicor and OneStream.
- Actively support ongoing projects like Pure Play Cement, OneSales, ERP upgrades, etc.,
- Handle any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the manager.
What you bring:
- Bachelor of Business/Accounting with practical experience in relevant roles and disciplines.
- Be CA or CPA-qualified.
- Project management accounting experience.
- Ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure, while remaining positive.
- Takes Initiative and is proactive.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex Excel models.
- Experience working with external audits and have demonstrated a strong compliance focus.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Experienced in utilizing ERP database systems.
- Good organization skills that deliver effective planning and housekeeping standards.
- Good multitasking and time management skills.
- Good understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
