About the Role
As the company accountant you will work closely with the CEO, company accountant and other senior management staff regarding long term strategic planning and day to day activities.
- Responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and all other financial transactions.
- Responsible for the processing of weekly payroll for internal staff and labour hire employees, ensuring compliance with relevant awards.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly invoicing.
- Manage the month end process including intercompany transactions, the completion of consolidated management reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and update cashflow forecast weekly.
- Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecast updates.
- Statutory compliance including PAYG, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Workcover.
- Provide accurate advice on the financial impact of business decisions.
- Provide accurate and detailed commentary and analysis around the company's performance.
- Oversee finances in NZ and Singapore.
- Manage finance staff in Singapore.
- Liaise with external tax accountants and external HR consultant.
What You Need
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting role.
- Ability to analyse financial and operational information and work collaboratively with the team to improve business performance.
- Experience in managing and processing payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of computer literacy including a sound working knowledge of Excel, and experience working with Xero or other accounting software packages.
- CPA/CA Qualified.
