8am - 4pm, full time Monday to Friday
The Role:
- Ensure smooth financial system operations.
- Maintain high standards in accounts and finance management.
- Apply exceptional bookkeeping skills for best practices in accounting and compliance.
- Continuously improve and update accounting skills.
- Communicate effectively and work well with team members.
- Follow policies and procedures for a safe workplace.
- Report accurately and promptly to Senior Management.
- Participate actively in meetings and share insights.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Attend professional training to maintain skills and knowledge.
- Assist team members in their absence.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Extensive knowledge of Reckon accounting software
- Proficiency in accounts management (payable, receivable, reconciliations, invoicing) across all entities
- Effective and accurate payroll management
- Experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, including management reports
- Understanding and coordinating annual budget preparation
- Financial compliance knowledge (BAS, IAS, PAYG requirements, superannuation, workers compensation, insurance, GST)
- Strong financial record-keeping and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
- Strong customer focus with high empathy and discretion
- Excellent time management and priority-focused skills
- Team-oriented and driven to work as part of a motivated team
- Mature, flexible, and focused attitude
- Valid driver's license
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a small to medium size business
- Accounting degree or similar qualification is highly regarded
- Experience with Reckon
- Experience with payroll systems
- Live locally
