AddressHands-on role processing Payroll, Accounts Payable & general Bookkeeping
Payroll experience is essential.
Hospitality knowledge would be an advantage, though if necessary we’d be happy to train you on the industry specifics such as the Award, and accounting for things like Gaming.
This is an ‘all rounder’ role, with no personnel to supervise.
Very, very hands on.
Main tasks for our Pubs and related entities are:
Payroll (from A to Z: checking rosters, time & attendance systems, processing pays, leave, STP, reporting etc)
Accounts Payable: data entry of bills, supplier payments, remittance advices
Revenue bookkeeping entries, bank account transaction allocations and reconciliations
End of month tasks & reporting (inc Payroll Tax, Superannuation, PAYG) and general bookkeeping/admin duties will also be involved, along with ad hoc preparations to launch new entities/venues if the need arises.
Attention to detail is critical for this work, and a deadline driven candidate would excel in this role.
Your contribution to the business will be vital, with these time-sensitive tasks integral to our smooth operation week in week out (in hospitality everything runs on a weekly cycle, so every week is a ‘processing week’!)
We’d love to secure a colleague with Cert IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting as a minimum, along with 5yrs experience.
There’s lots of autonomous work, as well as opportunities to collaborate, so a can-do attitude from a real team player just about sums it up!
We are a well established (5+ generations!) family business, and the role is based at our small and informal Southport office, which is separate from the venues.
