Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Accountant to work directly with us, who has extensive experience in Australian accounting practices, tax regulations, and strategic financial planning. This full-time role involves working with an agile team to deliver innovative solutions and optimise financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
ATO Compliance: Adherence to ATO regulations, preparation of reports, and implementation of tax law changes.
Shareholding and Trust Structure Management: Strategic management of shareholding and trust structures.
PAYG Withholding Tax Execution: Efficient execution and management of PAYG withholding tax processes.
Superannuation Framework Management: Oversight of Superannuation frameworks, ensuring optimisation of C-Level employees’ personal tax and legal compliance.
Tax Planning: Develop strategies to optimise tax payable, aligning with corporate structure and ATO guidelines.
Financial Forecasting and Data Provision: Assist the CEO and CFO with financial data and forecasting, supporting strategic decision-making.
Budget Management: Collaborate with teams to create and manage annual budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Assistance to Key Shareholder/Investor: Work closely with the key Shareholder/Investor in planning trust distributions, personal income tax strategies and managing wealth.
Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Manage chart of accounts and perform bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial records.
Invoicing Management: Overseeing the invoicing process, including the creation, issuance, and follow-up on invoices, as well as managing dues and reminders.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, focusing on Australian Accounting standards.
- Proficient in ATO regulations, shareholding and trust management, PAYG processes, and Superannuation frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience with Australian Superannuation frameworks.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Zoho Books).
- Capability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in a similar industry or environment.
- Skilled in navigating multiple computer applications.
- Fluent/Native English speaker.
- Knowledgeable in contemporary accounting processes.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance.
