Senior Accountant (Inventory) - Global Business

Our client

Reporting into the Finance Manager, of this global FMCG business you'll be joining a fun, dynamic and energetic finance team, in an excellent development role.

As the business enters a significant upgrade of systems upgrade to automate costing the Senior Accountant will be tasked will oversight of accounting records, analysing data and troubleshooting with stakeholders and relevant systems

The role

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to -   

• Monitoring of inventory costing for discrepancies
• Troubleshoot and investigate discrepancies by liaising with various stakeholders 
• Perform minor month end accounting activities including clearing adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare reporting on inventory 
• Investigate system issues relating to inventory costing
•  Continuous improvement of processes

About You - 

• CPA/CA qualified desired but not essential - happy to consider those working towards full qualification
• Any exposure to standard costing methodologies (e.g., weighted average or moving average price) will be beneficial and otherwise exposure to general accounting in a product based industry (retail, manufacturing, wholesale)
• Previous experience in SAP and projects such as system implementations, integrations and improvement will be well regarded
