Reporting to the Business Services Manager, your primary responsibilities will include: Comprehensive Financial Management: Accurately and efficiently prepare financial accounts, tax returns, and fulfill other tax reporting obligations for a diverse portfolio of clients. Income Tax Expertise: Skilfully draft Income Tax Returns from initial documentation through to the review stage, ensuring precision and compliance.
Year-End Preparations: Manage the preparation of year-end financial statements and reports, demonstrating your proficiency in financial close processes. BAS & IAS Preparation: Prepare and lodge Business and Instalment Activity Statements (BAS & IAS) with meticulous attention to detail. Client Engagement: Liaise directly with clients to address their queries promptly and accurately, fostering strong professional relationships.
Regulatory Liaison: Communicate with the ATO and other third parties on behalf of clients, ensuring their interests are represented effectively. You will need to have: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Australian public practice, showcasing a strong track record of success. CPA or CA qualification (completed or in progress) is essential. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, enabling you to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. High level of accuracy and analytical skills, capable of performing under pressure and managing multiple deadlines. Excellent organizational skills, ensuring timely completion of tasks to meet internal and external requirements.
