This company is a leading diversified property group with a number of high performing listed/unlisted funds as well as having a number of operating entities in their group. They have seen impressive growth across the business and have some interesting projects/acquisitions in the pipeline over the coming 12 months.
About The Role
Due to their recent growth and further acquisitions on the horizon, a newly created Senior Group Accountant role has arisen. You will report into the Group Finance Manager and have the following responsibilities:
Preparation and presentation of consolidated monthly results
Monthly management/board reporting with variance analysis and commentaries
Tax compliance
Cash flow management
Fixed assets register
Liaising with various stakeholders including Divisional Finance staff, Operations staff and external auditors
Providing technical accounting advice to the business around changes to accounting standards (e.g. AASB15/16)
Process improvements and ad hoc project involvement.
Requirements
CA/CPA qualified
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
You will be making your first move from either an Audit or Business Services role (working on listed clients). Alternatively you will have prior experience in a Financial Accountant role within a large complex business in a Group Reporting function
Strong Excel capabilities
High attention to detail, motivated and curious
