Job description

Our client is a leading international provider of infrastructure development and energy efficiency solutions, within the mining, and oil and gas sectors. Their expertise lies in optimising energy systems, enhancing efficiency, and fostering sustainable energy practices globally.

Located in Perth CBD, we are seeking a skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Officer. You will join a small yet busy finance team for an approximate 6-month contract with commencement expected in early June.

About the role:
This role will report to the Accounting Manager and requires a strong initiative and utilising portals within the mining sector for the Accounts Receivable process. You will play a key role in managing the financial operations, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining efficient project workflows.

With a focus on accuracy and compliance, your day-to-day tasks will see you navigate the internal project management systems, upload expenses and accurately record and file business transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate lodgement of AR invoices via portals
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of all Accounts Receivable for monthly closing
  • Prepare invoicing using internal ERP and reconcile the amounts between an additional internal platform
  • Monitor bank statements and perform bank reconciliations
  • Follow-up overdue invoices with external clients and Operation Departments
  • Management of timesheets in relation to project invoicing
  • Assist with producing financial reports as directed by the Accounting Manager
  • Provide support during year-end audits and prepare necessary documentation
  • Assist in optimizing internal processes related to Accounts Receivable and project management
  • Handle debt collection activities and manage overdue accounts effectively
About you:
You will possess a strong background in project accounting and have the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Your strong communication skills allow you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and your forward-thinking approach to accounting will see you succeed.
