SalaryOur client is a leading wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer. The company is currently looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst. The role will be in the Life Insurance Valuation Team.This is a 12-month fixed term contract based in Sydney.Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the design and implementation of end user tools which work alongside the group production valuation and systems to enhance the analysis and management reporting under IFRS17;
- Maintain integrity of the APRA reporting process;
- Support projects such as the annual business plan and target capital review, stress and scenario testing and;
- Ad hoc projects related to valuation and reporting.
- Tertiary education in Actuarial Science and currently studying towards becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia;
- Ideally 2 years' experience in corporate actuarial or life & health insurance industry;
- 2 years experience in Australian or New Zealand MoS Life insurance valuations and local capital requirements, with knowledge of the Australian L&H market;
- Analytical skills and the ability to handle both conceptual and practical issues;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders. Including enjoying team collaboration and contributing to the broader team on local and global business initiatives.
